Location Research

Horror Film Locations can vary from more conventional places such as grave yards and haunted houses to what are known as suburban houses. The use of a suburban house is a modern convention, and modern audiences. Audiences can relate more to this location, as this is where they live. This is a must for our film as we want our audience to feel for the character Scarlett. It makes the whole situation feel more realistic.


This was the house used for filming Paranormal Activity. The use of a suburban house (normal house) creates more fear in the audience as it feels realistic. They may feel as if it is more likely to happen to them as they can relate to the location.
